Maureen K. Bogue has over 15 years of experience in the areas of employment litigation and counseling. Ms. Bogue is a litigator with trial and arbitration experience and has represented clients of all sizes in state and federal courts in several states. She has successfully defended employers in wage and hour class actions, as well as single-plaintiff discrimination claims. In addition, she provides employers with sensible, business -focused solutions to employment problems. Ms. Bogue has developed significant expertise in the area of leave management, advising Fortune 500 companies, as well as small employers, on the complex requirements of state and federal laws governing leave of absence. She also is experienced in advising California employers on wage and hour compliance and has performed several wage and hour audits. Ms. Bogue regularly advises employers on a broad range of employee management issues, ranging from performance management to disability accommodation. Ms. Bogue has developed and conducted numerous training programs for human resources professionals and members of management on topics such as sexual harassment, reductions-in-force, retaliation and OFCCP compliance. Ms. Bogue has provided one-on-one coaching and training for individual managers. In addition, Ms. Bogue conducts independent workplace investigations into harassment and discrimination claims.
Before opening her own practice, Ms. Bogue served as global in-house employment counsel for Bechtel Corporation, a large international corporation. Ms. Bogue also was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw, LLP and served as of counsel with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP.
